Writing In Sean Forbes Is Easy.

Five simple rules. Follow them and your vote counts.

1

Write Sean Forbes on the Write-In Line

Find the line marked WRITE-IN under Governor and print Sean Forbes clearly.

2

Handwrite Only — No Stickers, Stamps, or Labels

By statute, pressure-sensitive stickers, glued stamps, and any other device not provided for in the voting procedures are not counted. Mark the ballot the way its instructions tell you.

3

Don't Also Mark a Printed Candidate

Marking a printed name and writing in another is an overvote — neither vote counts for that office. Write in Sean Forbes and leave the printed bubbles blank.

4

Your Vote Goes on the Record

All valid write-ins are tabulated and certified by elections officials on prescribed forms and added to the official precinct returns.

5

If There's a Bubble Next to the Write-In Line, FILL THE BUBBLE

This is the one that trips people up most. When a voting space is provided next to the write-in line, the law requires you to mark it. Writing the name alone is not enough — you must fill the bubble and write the name.
